Series 1 was a collection of all the essays FLG wrote on Renaissance Art between 1961 to 2006. Included are many essays under LEONARDO STUDIES and GIORGIONE STUDIES. Those are his favorite Italian artists of the High Renaissance.

Series 2 includes all the studies FLG made during 2006-07 in preparation for his class RENAISSANCE & BAROQUE ART in the Spring of 2007 and for the exhibition he curated at the same time for the benefit of the students in that class: “The Spirit of the Renaissance.” This show was mounted in a small room in the University Art Gallery of CSUEB in which there was a recreation of the Urbino studiolo “around the year 1500.” By popular demand, a modified version of that Renaissance room has been set up in the Library of CSUEB. This is a pilot display for the proposed WORLD HISTORY LEARNING CENTER.
